Crumbles is a cottage industry based in the village of Mapledurham on the Oxfordshire/Berkshire border,making handmade shortbread cookies and traditional shortbread using stone ground flour from Mapledurham Watermill, (the last working corn and grist mill on the River thames).A member of the family is the assistant miller and will take over when the current miller retires so that we may keep this fine tradition going.
